Ditching Hourly Rates
We believe that the billable hourly model is dying, and our firm is one of the nation’s leading providers of subscription and value-priced services.
Tech Saavy (No, Really!)
We leverage technology and depend on each other as a team. We use that technology to keep the work out of our heads and organize the data we’re creating. Ultimately, this means that our lawyers can not only provide top-quality service but relax every now and then without worrying about their clients.
Work from Anywhere
We’re a remote-first team with the goal of working from wherever we want, but without sacrificing quality, professionalism, or a comfortable office space for those meetings that have to be face-to-face. Our team primarily work from home.
We’re looking for lawyers who enjoy the nuts and bolts of law practice, such as research, writing, and IRAC. But you should be able to translate that into practical, forward-looking advice for non-lawyers. You’re probably curious about and will appreciate the administrative systems, but you’re not terribly interested in marketing, sales, project management, financial controls, and everything else required of a 21st-century law practice.
The ideal attorney has either operated as a solo practitioner for several years and wants to join a team, or wants to leave their BigLaw position to join a smaller, more nimble, and progressive firm.
This isn’t necessarily a “job.” We’re looking for Partners. Compensation is based on the amount of revenue you’re able to generate and the value of the work you do for clients you don’t originate. Our goal is to avoid compensation purely based on “hourly production,” so you will generally be able to set your schedule. Our benefits package includes 100% employer-paid healthcare, 401(k) plan, an optional dental plan, unlimited PTO, and a work-from-anywhere policy.
