Pricing for our services is based on your business demographics.
Our goal at Spera is to prevent clients from making costly legal mistakes by setting up a legal strategy and legally compliant policies, procedures, and resources on the front end. Your free 30-minute Initial Consultation jump starts our ability to take your legal burdens and make way for you to do what you do best: running your business.
During your Initial Consultation Zoom call, a member of our team will compile a comprehensive business profile to ensure that Spera Law fits your growing business perfectly.
Once we’ve determined that we’re a good fit to work together, you are ready to meet with an attorney. During this 1-hour session, a Business Attorney will hear more about your legal needs and start providing actionable advice. We can solve a lot in an hour, but we can’t solve everything. After your Legal Advice Session, you will have a concrete steps on how to resolve the issue, or if you need our help, which pricing of our pricing models works best for your business.
Congratulations! You decided that Spera Law is the right fit for your business. Your next step in our Pricing Process is to determine whether you need one-time, or ongoing help.
If you need one-time help, you’ll receive a value-price proposal for us to help you with that project.
If you want ongoing support, the next step is to choose the legal subscription service that makes the most sense for your business.
Either way, you’ll have access to our revolutionary online legal services platform.

For mature businesses seeking legal help multiple times a month

A legal subscription service allows businesses and their owners to access an attorney without worrying about hourly rates or wondering "How much will this cost me?"
Because all our plans include unlimited attorney access, you'll always know what your legal spend will be, and never have to worry about surprise bills.
Many reasons! Here are a few:
We don’t want you to have to determine whether or not an issue is “worth” calling your attorney. We want you to call us so we can help prevent big problems.
Your business has legal needs. A monthly price eliminates the need to go back and forth on pricing before we start working, and eliminates the uncertainty of post-paid hourly work and the wincing when you go to open that bill.
When you’re part of our subscription program, we are your legal team and we are fully invested in your business and are actively looking to help before you realize you need us. After all, if you don’t use us, you’ll probably cancel, so we’re incentivized to find ways to help you.
All of this means that we’re a relationship firm, not a transactional firm, and we want deep, long-lasting relationships with all our clients. If you’re looking for a one-and-done, we’re probably not the law firm for you.
The word “collective” describes individuals acting towards a common goal or a cooperative enterprise.
Because we charge for value and not by the hour, we’re incentivized to build systems that benefit all our clients, thus the term “Collective.” By joining the Collective, our clients come together to benefit from their common goal of building successful, sellable businesses.
Firms that only charge by the hour can only earn revenue by spending time on a specific client’s issues, and there’s no way to earn revenue for work done that benefits all of a firm’s clients.
We do not have a “standard” price list, because we deliver custom solutions and customize each quote and Scope of Work for that client’s unique goals and business.
If something isn’t included within the membership, the additional cost will be quoted before any work begins.
But because our memberships allow unlimited attorney consultation, this allows us to diagnose the complexity, start to narrow in on how much something may cost, and potentially advise on other, more efficient ways to reach your goals.
Yes, we’re happy to meet our clients in person. Our office is located at 2200 Tulane Avenue, across the street from University Medical Center.
Generally speaking, our availability for consultations and actually completing the work is prioritized based on membership level, so that Collective Counsel clients receive top priority.
We strive to have at least one attorney available for consultations within 3-4 business days; however, if you wish to work with a specific attorney, you may have to wait longer.
The primary difference lies in the price and the value of the offer. We charge a higher fee that allows us to offer a greater level of personalization and more expansive services. We a traditional law firm (except we're built for the 21st century!) that provides personalized legal representation and advice, while LegalZoom is an online platform that provides limited access to attorneys and do-it-yourself legal documents and templates.
Yes, but litigation is not covered under any membership. Your membership will give you attorney access, so we're happy to discuss the case and help form a plan.
We do handle minor dispute resolution for our Collective Counsel clients, but often times litigation is an additional fee.
We aim to provide a base level of services for our clients that helps them avoid stupid legal mistakes and addresses most of the issues the business will face on an ongoing basis.
Because we only focus on working with business owners, our range of experience helping those clients is diverse, and chances are we’ve worked on an issue similar to yours before.
Put another way: If it’s a business issue, we can help!
It depends on the membership level, but our highest membership level, Collective Counsel, does include drafting of most of the documents that a business needs on an ongoing basis.
Small Business Advisor includes very basic documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, and other documents that we can draft from a template.
We handle this on a case-by-case basis.
Generally, if you have multiple entities (for instance, an entity setup to owns real estate or for tax purposes) related to the same business, we’ll consider that one enterprise and work with all of them.
However, if the businesses are otherwise unrelated, they’ll likely need separate memberships, but we can negotiate those price points.
Our policy is to schedule all attorney appointments so that our attorneys can dedicate 100% of their attention to their work.
The primary difference lies in the price and the value of the offer. We charge a higher fee that allows us to offer a greater level of personalization and more expansive services. We are a traditional law firm (with cutting edge business practices!) that provides personalized legal representation and advice, while LegalShield is a subscription legal service aimed at individuals and businesses with fairly minimal legal needs.
