At Spera Law Group, we help businesses prevent annoying legal problems.

We have a 98% renewal rate and a 91% Net Promoter Score. Simply said, our clients are happy. They stay with us for an average of three years and recommend us to their friends and family.

And this is our Proactive Proven Process.

Step One:

Free Initial Consult

One of our Core Values is communicating effectively. We over-communicate with clients, each other, and everyone else so that things are clear. This also means we tell clients what they need to hear, not what they want to hear.

The free initial consultation is a venue for you and Spera Law Group to discuss your business, the challenges that you are going through, and the help that you need.

We work mostly with growing businesses. This gives us a unique understanding of the wants and needs of business owners, the challenges they face, and the best strategies to handle them.

Step Two:

Legal Advice Session

The best way to prepare for a legal advice session is to gather relevant documents, including contracts and financial statements.

During the legal advice session, our attorneys may ask you a series of targeted questions.

The session ends with the attorney providing their professional assessment and recommendations.

Step Three:

Scope, Price, Engage

Once the attorney has an understanding of your case, he or she will typically let you know what your legal options are, your prospects of success in achieving your goals, and how much he or she expects this to cost.

Case Study:

We’ve been working with a referral from an old family friend. The client is an elderly lady trying to complete the succession of her deceased husband.

She used to live in New Orleans, but during the course of our engagement, she moved near Baton Rouge—and it was harder to reach her.

We needed to get to her to have something notarized, and it would have been very expensive for one of our attorneys to drive all the way up to Baton Rouge. And she wasn’t coming to New Orleans anytime soon.

So we started offering a new level of service, where we engage a notary to go to our client and sign the document if needed.

It felt good to help out this client who was in such a pinch with her physical condition. And she was very appreciative of us for helping her like that.

Step Four:

Onboarding

Depending on your plan, you’ll get instant access to our exclusive proprietary tools and services related to intellectual property, general counsel, employees, contracts, disputes, ownership, real estate, and mergers.

Step Five:

Solve the No. 1 Problem

When clients first come to us, they typically require assistance with urgent matters, such as obtaining legal representation during the purchase of a business, collecting outstanding receivables, and resolving disputes between partners.

When this happens, we analyze the problem on a deeper level and resolve the most important issue.

Moving forward, we focus on building systems to prevent the same problem from recurring, such as reviewing billing practices or avoiding legal pitfalls by making contracts clear and enforceable.

Case Study:

In one case, we spent significant time with a client who has nearly $200,000 in outstanding receivables, which, fortunately, represents only about 6% of their gross income.

We discussed various strategies to reduce this amount, as collecting payments upfront seems unlikely in their industry.

We realized that what works for one type of client may not work for others, so payment processes may need to be tailored based on client profiles.

Step Six:

Prevent Annoying Legal Problems

We care about the small things and we are always on the lookout for potential legal problems — loopholes that can be exploited and non-compliances that can bite your business back later on.

One of the awesome things you’ll be getting from us is a monthly report on the legal health of your business.

We are proactive, rather than reactive, because we can deliver more value by preventing problems than by attempting to fix them.

Case Study:

Recently, we welcomed a new client who shared a trust drafted by another attorney. Unfortunately, the document was severely flawed and referenced laws from other states—rendering parts of it irrelevant. It also contained contradictory clauses, claiming to be irrevocable in one section and revocable in another.

Upon review, we confirmed the trust was a mess and needed a complete overhaul to protect her assets and intentions. We’re now working closely with her to revise the document properly.
